DESCRIPTION:A Plataforma Portuguesa para os Direitos das Mulheres em parceria com o Instituto de la Mujer de Extremadura e a Secretaria General de Educación\, de la Consejeria de Educación y Empleo de la Junta de Extremadura encontram-se a desenvolver o projeto EUROACE_VIOGEN: Cooperação transfronteiriça no combate à violência de género contra as mulheres. \nEste projeto visa contribuir para melhorar a intervenção e a proteção de vítimas de violência de género através da implementação de mecanismos de cooperação e colaboração entre Portugal (Regiões Centro e Alentejo) e Espanha (Região da Extremadura)\, bem como o desenvolvimento de instrumentos inovadores de cooperação transfronteiriça. \nDas várias atividades do projeto destacam-se: \n\nElaboração de estudo comparativo de análise de modelos de intervenção em ambos os países;\nIdentificação de ferramentas inovadoras mediante a realização de 3 jornadas transfronteiriças entre profissionais de vários setores\, nomeadamente da educação\, saúde e forças de segurança;\nCriação de um laboratório transfronteiriço de inovação social online sobre o combate à violência de género contra as mulheres e a proteção de vítimas de violência de género contra as mulheres;\nImplementação de uma rede online de profissionais para a partilha de experiências e disponibilização de informação online em matéria de igualdade entre mulheres e homens\, e desenvolver conhecimento no âmbito da prevenção da violência de género contra as mulheres;\nEducação para a prevenção da violência de género contra as mulheres\, através de uma campanha dirigida a jovens e de workshops informativos.\n\nPrograma da jornada multidisciplinar transfronteiriça de apresentação do projeto: \n\n9.00h-9.30h: Recepción de asistentes\n\n\n9.30h-9.45h: Inauguración de las jornadas\n\nDirectora General del Instituto de la Mujer\, Elisa Barrientos Blanca \nPresidente da Comissão para a Cidadania e a Igualdade de Género\, Teresa Fragoso* \n\n9.45h-10.00h: Presentación del Proyecto EUROACE-VIOGEN (equipo IMEX)\n\n\n10.00h-10.45h: – Presentacion Bilateral Recursos para la Atención a Mujeres Víctimas de Violencia de Género en la región Alentejo-Centro / Extremadura.\n\nIMEX. 15 minutos /  PpDM. 10 minutos\n\n\n\n– A Convenção de Istambul – Leonor Valente Monteiro (10 m) \n–  Principales Conclusiones del Informe de la Convención de Estambul. PpDM. 10 minutos \n\n10.45h-11.15h: Desayuno\n\n\n11.15h-11.30h: El Valor del trabajo en Red (empresa: Social&Tech)\n\n\n11.30h-13.30h: Creación Laboratorio de Innovación Social. SUMMARY:LEM Conferência| Istambul Convention: What policies Transform Commitments into Reality?
DESCRIPTION:The European Women’s Lobby (EWL) invites you to a public event “Istanbul Convention: what policies transform commitment into reality?” at the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany to the European Union\, on 6 of December 2017. \nDespite progress over the last decades on equality between women and men there is not a single country in Europe where women and girls are free from male violence. We still have a long way to go to ensure that women and girls can live a life free from violence in the EU. (See EWL Factsheet on Disrupting the continuum of violence against women and girls). \nViolence against women exists\, it is not abstract and women are speaking out about it. As the #MeToo movement has emphasised\, it’s time for action. Women’s voices are too loud and too many to be ignored any longer! Let’s continue to disrupt the silence and the indifference! \nNow is the moment to take stock of the latest developments at EU and at Member State level. The Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence\, the Istanbul Convention\, entered into force 4 years ago\, being the most comprehensive treaty on this issue and a key tool to improve legislation and policies. However\, at present only 16 EU member states have ratified it and more progress is needed to ensure that its provisions are implemented across Europe. At EU Level\, there have been important steps in relation to ratification of the Istanbul Convention by the EU and the declaration of 2017 as EU year of focused action to end violence against women. \nIt is crucial that women’s organisations continue to monitor this and to ensure that commitments are transformed into reality \nDuring this event EWL Observatory experts and academics will highlight the key challenges in combatting violence against women and in implementing the Istanbul Convention. We will focus on violence against migrant and refugee women and digital violence against women.
