DESCRIPTION:Participação de Ana Sofia Fernandes\, na qualidade de comentadora. \nO projeto REGAL procura investigar quais as possibilidades de alcançar um maior equilíbrio entre o trabalho e a vida pessoal para grupos em situação de vulnerabilidade. Estas medidas de equilíbrio entre o trabalho e a vida pessoal (WBL acrónimo em inglês) tem como objetivo alcançar um elevado nível de empregabilidade entre mulheres e homens através de um maior equilíbrio entre as necessidades da família e as exigências do trabalho. WLB foca-se na falta de tempo para a família (e em particular as mulheres) articularem o trabalho e a vida pessoal. \nO projeto REGAL parte das situações precárias das famílias. A precariedade é uma barreira adicional para encontrar emprego e para viver alcançar o equilíbrio entre o trabalho e a vida pessoal. A precariedade emerge em particular de más condições de trabalho (trabalho irregular)\, más condições de habitação e uma má situação financeira. Todos estes elementos podem ser um obstáculo para alcançar um bom WLB. \nO projeto REGAL analisa o modo como algumas medidas no âmbito do WLB podem assegurar um melhor equilíbrio para as famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade e proporcionar-lhes um incentivo para que possam trabalhar. \n

DESCRIPTION:Esta é uma audição que faz parte da preparação para a Reunião de Alto Nível da Assembleia Geral das Nações Unidas a propósito da comemoração dos 25 anos da IV Conferência Mundial sobre as Mulheres onde foi adotada a Declaração e Plataforma de Ação de Pequim (cf. Resolução da AGNU 73/340). \n\n\n\n\n——- \nThe multi-stakeholder hearing will be held on a virtual platform\, facilitated by the United Nations Conference Services\, and live streamed on UN Web TV and social media channels. Information on accessing the virtual platform will be shared with registrants in due course. \nThe hearing will adhere to the following format: \n\nOpening statement by the President of the General Assembly\nModerated dialogue among gender equality leaders\nThree thematic panel discussions\n\nClosing statement by the President of the General Assembly\n\nThe moderated dialogue will set the stage for the subsequent panel discussions and will bring together a small number of gender equality leaders\, including from Government and civil society. This will focus on the challenges and opportunities for accelerating action for gender equality and the empowerment of women. \nEach of the panel discussions will feature between six and eight panellists\, including representatives of women’s organizations with diverse backgrounds and reflecting geographical balance. A moderator will pose questions to panellists on the theme under consideration which will serve to guide their interventions. In response\, panellists will draw upon their experiences in advancing the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. \nEach panel discussion will feature a moderated ‘questions and answers’ segment. Before concluding\, the moderator will highlight key messages emanating from the discussion in a wrap-up. \nThe themes and sub-themes of the interactive panel discussions will be: \n\nGender equality and women’s and girls’ empowerment: drivers for sustainable development \n\nAnchored by Sustainable Development Goal 5\, this theme will address the following issues: \n\nsecuring the transition from education and training to decent work and economic security and autonomy for women and addressing women’s unemployment and over-representation in the informal sector;\nharnessing the potential of science\, technology\, innovation and digitalization for a gender-equal society;\nfinancing for gender equality;\naddressing the climate crisis from a gender perspective.\n\n\nWomen’s and girls’ voices\, participation and leadership \n\nUnder this theme\, the following issues will be addressed: \n\nwomen and girls as changemakers and role models;\nthe role of leadership in realizing women’s and girls’ rights;\nwomen’s and youth activism and mobilization for gender equality;\nsharing insights and lessons between generations for accelerated progress.\n\n\nAchieving gender equality is everyone’s responsibility \n\nUnder this theme\, the following issues will be addressed: \n\nmulti-stakeholder partnerships for gender equality and women’s and girls’ rights;\nthe role of men and boys in realizing gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.

As conclusões dos membros do Comité de Ajuda ao Desenvolvimento e do  Estudo da Sociedade Civil também serão discutidas durante o webinar.
